Which Side of the Door Are You On? Part I

By Carolyn Mancos

Who committed the first sin?

Most people's answer is Adam and Eve committed the first sin but scripture reveals the truth.

Lucifer committed the first sin recorded in the Bible

Ezek. 28:12  “Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “You had the seal of perfectionFull of wisdom and perfect in beauty. Ezek. 28:13 “You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The ruby, the topaz, and the diamond; The beryl, the onyx, and the jasper; The lapis lazuli, the turquoise, and the emerald; And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, Was in you. On the day that you were created, They were prepared.

**We need to stop here and ponder something concerning when exactly it was that Lucifer fell.  Ezekiel 28:13 begins, "You were in Eden".  When God created the heavens and the earth He proclaimed it is good.  If Lucifer fell before the creation of the earth, as some theologians believe, God could not proclaim it as good if His enemy is in Eden.  He did not say it is good but my enemy is in Eden, it just does not make sense when you think about it.  When God created the Garden of Eden, it was a place within His realm, a place where He came down in the cool of the day and walked and communed with Adam, it was a place of perfection and Adam was the perfectly created man.  We know that Lucifer's fall began with thinking himself so magnificent that he should be exalted above God and actually sit in the place of the Most High.  We also have to concur that jealousy was also a component in Lucifer's rebellion against God because of God's special relationship with the man, He had created in His image, that was different from the Angelic beings.  Lucifer wanted to be on high and have the worship of all heavenly host and man.  It is safe to say that Lucifer knew that mankind also had free will and his plan was and still is, to destroy mankind who was made in the very image of God because it is only logical, if Lucifer hated God, he would hate anything created in His image.  Is it possible that Genesis 3:14 which states, "Upon thy belly shalt thou GO, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life," is the point that Lucifer was cast from his position and became Satan? This scripture mirrors Ezekiel 28:17 "I cast you to the ground." This is my own personal result of pondering this question and I do not proclaim this as fact because I just do not know for sure.  You have to study the Word of God, ask for revelation from Him and not take anyone else's conclusion as fact.**

**Lucifer was sealed with perfection on the day that God created him.  So, if he was created in perfection, how was it that he was able to sin?  It is obvious that just as Adam was created with free will, God created the Heavenly Host with free will.  Free will cannot exist without a choice and the ultimate choice is to serve and obey God or not.**

Ezek. 28:14 “You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked in the midst of the stones of fire. **This leads me to believe that Lucifer was one of the two Cherubim that cover the Mercy Seat of God as depicted in the earthly replica of the Arc of the Covenant made by specific instructions from God.**
Ezek. 28:15 “You were blameless in your ways(As Adam was when he was created by God) From the day you were created Until unrighteousness was found in you
Ezek. 28:16 “By the abundance of your trade You were internally filled with violence,
And you sinned; Therefore I have cast you as profane From the mountain of God. And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the stones of fire.
Ezek. 28:17 “Your heart was lifted up
because of your beautyYou corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I put you before kings,  That they may see you.
Ezek. 28:18 “By the multitude of your iniquities, In the unrighteousness of your trade You profaned your sanctuaries. Therefore I have brought fire from the midst of you; It has consumed you, And I have turned you to ashes on the earth In the eyes of all who see you.
Ezek. 28:19 “All who know you among the peoples Are appalled at you; You have become terrified And you will cease to be forever.”

**This Scripture is addressing the King of Tyre and it parallels the fall of Lucifer.  Because of the great sins of the city of Tyre, it is entirely plausible that the king of Tyre was possessed by Satan.  Tyre was known to build its wealth by exploiting its neighbors, was filled with unscrupulous merchants and was a center of religious idolatry and sexual immorality.  As Lucifer exalted himself above the Most High by disregarding the fact that he was created by Him and took total pride in himself, so did the King of Tyre credit himself for his power and great wealth which was obtained in an evil manner.  Lucifer's rebellion resulted in God casting him from His presence and will and to his future condemnation to the Lake of Fire.  Likewise, the King of Tyre attributed Tyre's riches to his own wisdom and strength. Not satisfied with his own extravagant power and position, the King of Tyre sought more and more resulting in taking unjust advantage of other nations to expand his own wealth and status. Ezekiel's prophesy of Tyre's total destruction was partially fulfilled by Nebuchadnezzar and ultimately by Alexander the Great in 332 BC The modern day city of Tyre is in Lebanon.**

Lucifer was not as man depicts him.  He was crated the most beautiful supernatural being God created, he was able to emit music from his body.  “The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created.”  “You were the anointed Cherub that covers.”  Covers what?  The Throne of God or the Mercy Seat. God instructed that the Arc of the Covenant be made as an exact replica of the Throne of God in His realm.

The Rebellion

Revelation: Chapter 12:7

7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Satan, Fallen Angels, and Demons now rule the earth from a distance. In the times of Noah, they were completely in the earthly realm and ruled kingdoms. In the End Days, it will be as in the Days of Noah and they will be completely in man's earthly realm again.

**This verse can be confusing concerning when Satan and those that followed his rebellion were cast to the earth but we are dealing with more than one heaven or realm.  We know this by the scripture in  2 Corinthians 12:2-3 where Paul reveals that there is a third heaven where God and Yeshua dwell. The second heaven is what is between our atmosphere and the third heaven.  The first heaven would be the atmosphere above us and this is where the evil principalities of the air operate from to control who and what they can on this earth because, as scripture tells us, Satan is the Prince of this world.  This occurred when Adam and Eve rebelled against God, entered into temptation and partook of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.  Adam did not realize that dominion of the earth would be stolen from him by Satan.  In this present age, in which we live, Satan, his highest ranking angels, and demons can still oppose the work of God and His Angels within the boundaries of the middle or second heaven.  This battle spoken of in Revelation 12 will remove Satan and all his minions from this realm.  They will rejoice in heaven on that day because the evil has been cast out of heaven but the scriptures say, "Woe to you, oh earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath because he knows his time is short!"  This is the End Days scenario, this is when hell will be unleashed as never before in the history of the earth. This will be the time of the great deception, the great falling away and the time in which the anti-Christ will be revealed.  This will be a time of great fear when men's hearts will fail them for the things that come upon the earth.  Satan and his minions now operate in the air above us but in the Time of the End, they will be upon this earth, in this very realm of ours.  Evil supernatural events will occur, the Great Abyss will be open and evil creatures will be seen upon this earth and the Nephilim will return.  The Great Tribulation will occur followed by the Wrath of God and finally, Yeshua will redeem man and earth back to the original state that God created them in.**

How Did It Start?

The Choice

It is a bit naïve to think that the fall of man was because the first man and woman ate a piece of fruit off of a tree but that is still what many believe and refuse to dig any deeper.  Though, there is no way to know exactly what they saw, we know that these trees were two representations.

The Tree of Life represents Yeshua/Christ.

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil represents Satan.

Adam was created perfect and God literally came down in the cool of the day and walk with Adam. Adam was also created with a freewill and without a “choice” freewill cannot exist.  The ultimate choice for Adam was loyalty and obedience to God or…to listen to the one who rebelled, the liar, seducer and deceiver.  Eve was seduced and deceived by the serpent and Adam willingly followed her lead.

No snake slithered down a tree and spoke with Eve.  The word serpent in Genesis is Nachash.  Of course, as a noun, it is usually the word for serpent.  The verb form means deceiver or diviner with divine knowledge.  The adjective version means bronze or brazen with a bright shine.  Therefore, used as an adjective it should be translated as “shining one.”  Shining or luminosity is a quality that is characteristic of divine beings in the Hebrew Bible and other near east literature.

The being that appeared to Eve was beautiful and able to convince her that if she partook of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, she would be like God even though they were previously warned by God that they would die.

Satan’s Traits Become Man’s Traits and the Battle Begins

  1. Spiritual Death - No longer Spiritually pure-having a dual nature-only Christ can revive man's Spirit by the Holy Spirit

  2. Physical Death - The body began to deteriorate, age and die because the wages of sin are death

  3. Separation from God - Direct communication with God stops

  4. Genetic Corruption - Their very DNA was corrupted and every generation after

  5. Toil To Survive - The ground and the entire earth became corrupted

  6. Battling A Dual Nature - Romans 7:14-25

The Dual Nature of Man

Theory - Exactly what took place when Eve was deceived and partook of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is a hot theological debate including, Cain being the son of Satan and not the son of Adam.  This theory cannot be dismissed because of the fact that Cain is not mentioned in the genealogy of Adam in the Bible.  In my opinion, this did not have to be a physical union but a supernatural occurrence because, for everything God has, Satan has an exact counterfeit.  The fact that Cain committed the first murder holds credence to this theory but this cannot be taught as fact.

Fact – When the first man and woman rebelled against God, they lost Spiritual and Physical attributes of God that were replaced by the SIN NATURE OF SATAN.  It is a fact that we have two natures warring within us.  The Powers and Principalities in the spiritual realm are constantly trying to influence us in every aspect possible and are now winning because the Bible states that Satan is the Prince of this world and the masses are following his ways.  Those who belong to Christ, hate this dual nature and fight against it constantly by their testimony in Christ, reading His Word and studying to obtain knowledge.  You have to know your enemies first before you can fight them. Only God can reveal the truth of exactly what is going on in our world today and we are, indeed, living in The Last Days.

You should be able to recognize Satanism in music, movies, video games, and the general media and in governments and organizations.  It is no longer hidden as it once was but is blatantly in our faces. The very same entities of ancient days are still here and they use the same symbolism and tools but they are now technologically advanced to serve the Last Days agenda with a plethora of scenarios from aliens (demons) to the transhumanism agenda.  (Discussed in a future study)

November 2018 Bible Study - Fallen Angels and the Birth of the Nephilim

Genesis 6:1-4

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
